About Us​

Hey there, friends!

It’s your favorite nerdy couple, Nerd 1 and Nerd 2, reporting from House Nerdz in Toronto, Canada. We just finished a massive home renovation, and let’s just say we’re lucky to still be married and alive! Our renovation was only supposed to involve four pot lights in our daughter’s room, but somehow, we ended up gutting the whole house. Don’t ask us how it happened – we’re still scratching our heads over it!

We tackled this renovation during COVID (brilliant timing, we know), and we lived in our basement for two years. Yup, that’s right – no kitchen, just a whole lot of frustration and bickering. But we made it through, and we’re absolutely in love with our new home. Nerd 1 handled the designing, and Nerd 2 was the muscle behind the operation. We make quite the team!

Now, we want to share our newfound wisdom with you. Our blog will cover everything from design inspiration to lessons learned (and trust us, we learned a LOT).
